It’s been years of me saying “I need to get a wand ”. So if you’re like me and weren’t picked by the magical forces at hand to get your own wand… you’re going to want to buy one. On the day we arrived we were allowed early access to Universal Studios, which means we could beeline to the Wizarding World of Diagon Alley first! Depending on the day, one of the parks will open at 8am and the other at 9am (these can fluctuate on the weekends too).

There are sections of the Wizarding World in both the Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Orlando Florida.Ī great tip if you can swing it is to stay in one of the Orlando resort hotels because it grants you early access to the parks. Make sure to purchase a park-to-park Universal Ticket. It makes sense then that when Universal Studios in Florida created this wonderfully realistic version of my favourite fictional spots, I had to go! In such a short amount of time, they captured everything in such a wonderful way that stayed true to the novels themselves (only with a few small differences). From Hogwarts to Diagon Alley and over to Hogsmeade… these are the fictional places I consider my home.Īnd when the films came out, it felt the same. It’s one of those series that you can read over and over and it simply feels like home. They’ve been a place of comfort and happiness. When I was eight years old I was introduced to the books and ever since, I’ve been absolutely hooked.
